Executive Development

I am doing some consultancy on Executive Development and I have been ask to benchmark what other organisations are doing. Does anyone know of any interesting initiatives around the area and what kind of spend people expect to have on Executive Development?

Teresa,
As a research subject have you tried either the Chartered Institute of Management (CMI) or Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD). They've got to have some recent research.
